Flexible High Power Electronics Solutions for Hydro-Power Applications
Mr. Philippe Bontemps has successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis, titled "Flexible High Power Electronics Solutions for Hydro-Power Applications". The examination committee was composed of Prof. Georgios Papafotiou (TU/e, Netherlands), Dr. Alexander Schwery (GE Renewable Energy, Switzerland), Dr. Elena Vagnoni (EPFL, Switzerland), and supported by Prof. Farhad Rachidi (EPFL, Switzerland). The thesis deals with modular multilevel matrix converters for hydro-power applications.
Philippe will soon join maxon, Switzerland, working on novel variable speed drive technologies.
