Therapeutic indications
For the symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhea of any etiology including acute exacerbations of chronic diarrhea for periods of up to 5 days in adults and children over 4 years.
For the symptomatic treatment of chronic diarrhea in adults
Recommended Daily Dose
| Acute diarrhea | |
| Adults | Four 5 ml doses initially, followed by two 5 ml doses after each loose stool. The total daily dose should not exceed sixteen 5 ml doses |
| Children over 8 years | Two 5 ml doses four times daily with the duration limited to 5 days. |
| Children 4 – 8 years | One 5 ml dose three or four times daily with the duration limited to 3 days. |
NEWIDIUM Not recommended for children under 4 years of age
