Optics Condition Guide 

Surplus is real military gear and the exact conditions may vary.  We grade used military surplus to give you options and offer a more clear description. Military gear was built well and used by soldiers proving its tested quality.  We hope you find that it serves you well. All optics may not come with their original case.  

Grade 1: New, to like new condition, Unused but may show some storage marks without any scratches on the lens.

Grade 2: What we call normal surplus. The gear is fully usable and shows normal signs of use and has a lot of life left. These will have some scratches in the outer areas but will not affect the normal view and use of the goggle. 

Grade 3: This gear had a rougher life.  They show more scratches than normal and graded for CIF turn in gear or limited use needs but not for everyday or when you need good clear vision.
