Pink Out Aftermath

BG went into this tournament with high hopes to make some waves in the league, however, we realized afterwards that we have a lot to work on if we want to compete with the bigger teams.

After our 4-2 Loss to Miami, we realize that we were very under prepared for what they had brought to the table, and may have underestimated them, which was a major mistake. However, in this loss, there were some positives. Reni Kaiser gave us our second point in a 1v1 situation with an amazing catch.

Against CSU, we won 4-1, however, we did not play to our full potential and one point should not have been secured against us. We let our guard down and played disorganized at times, only coming to terms with the situation once we were on thin ice.

Against UC, we played very well considering they are a top team. We really held our own and did a lot better than we expected. We put up a tough fight against them, especially Gavin Gillard who made an amazing jumping catch which turned the tide enough and took us into overtime. Although we lost, we learned a decent amount of what we need to work on to become a high caliber team.

Overall, we went 1-2 on the day, which is not what we wanted; however, it is a lesson we needed to learn in order to help us become a better team.
