Description

Detailed Description
A special limited-edition bottle of Jack Daniel’s, celebrating a not-often discussed part of the whiskey’s history: the days when it had a bright green and gold label. Back before 1904 this is what bottles of Jack looked like, although the distillery claim to have lost all records about why it looked like this. In the bottle, it’s Old No.7, but at 43% ABV, giving it a more punch than the regular release. A must for collector’s and fans of Jack Daniel’s classic Tennessee style.
Jack Daniel’s Legacy Edition Set (No.1 and No.2) Tasting Notes
Nose: Butterscotch, vanilla and fresh apples.
Palate: Orange zest, cereal sweetness and toasty oak, with a little spice and toffee.
Finish: Smooth and soft, with a hint of banana milkshake.
Distillery Information
Born on September 5, 1850, Jasper Newton “Jack” Daniel was the youngest of ten children. His parents were of Scottish and Irish descent, and in keeping with his rich cultural heritage, Daniel opened a distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee, in 1866. His eponymous distillery was the first registered distillery in the country (at the time, distilleries were required to register with the federal government, and Jack Daniel Distillery was given Registered Distillery Number 1). Today, Jack Daniel Distillery is one of the most distinguished and recognizable names in the spirits industry.
