Fouad Ahidar is a prominent politician, member of the parliament of the Brussels Capital Region and president of the Council of the Flemish Community Commission of Brussels.
Having started his career as a social worker in the streets of Brussels, Fouad Ahidar has been a member of the Brussels Parliament since 2004. His work focuses on poverty reduction, education, access to housing and anti-discrimination.
As president of the Council of the Flemish Community Commission, he builds bridges between different communities in the hyper-diverse city of Brussels and advocates for the protection of minorities’ rights.
