Objectif The ultimate goal of INVIEW is to create a new way of visualizing environments, which will be implemented as a client-server final application. The goal of the server application will be to produce all the related data structures, so that the client visualization tool can navigate arbitrarily through the environment giving the subjective impression that the end user is in the middle of the environment. We will demonstrate the results in two pilot applications: - one related tele-medicine, and - an accidents inspection tool.OBJECTIVESThe ultimate goal of INVIEW is to create a new way of visualizing environments, which will be implemented as a client-server final application. Project Management2. System Specifications3. Image Acquisition4. Viewpoint Related Computations5. Scene Related Computations6. Generation of Novel Views7. System Integration and Applications Development8. Evaluation, Refinement and Testing9. Exploitation and Dissemination In order to provide a tool which will permit to immersively visualize environments, and navigate trough them in an arbitrarily way, the consortium will apply much of the technology and research developments of computer vision, modifying and enhancing substantially some aspects to fit the goal of the project. All the developments produced in the technical workpackages will be integrated into a final tool, which will be demonstrated in two different scenarios: a tele-medicine assistance tool and a accidents inspection tool.
