Nepeta Racemosa commonly known as Dwarf Catmint is an upright, deciduous bushy shrub which has mid green/grey aromatic foliage. In April through until September the Nepeta Racemosa blooms whorls of tubular blue/violet flowers which cover the plant in purple colour, a firm favourite with bees and other insects in the garden. The flowers are known to be used in foods and drinks which makes an extra use for these plants.
A perfect all round garden plant which can be planted in a variety of planting locations, garden types and schemes. Often planted on the edges of flower beds and borders and can make a good container or potted plant where it can be grown on balconies and gardens without grass creating fantastic colour.
Nepeta Racemosa care
Plant the Nepeta Racemosa in a sunny, partial shaded area of the garden with moist, well drained soils. Simple to maintain and can be good for both expert and beginner gardeners alike. Once flowered trim the plant which can encourage a second flourish… double the fun!
