In all his professional roles – as a strategy consultant, Head of Cabinet of a Belgian Minister, Manager of a business unit of a large bank or President of the Belgian Ministry of Transports – Laurent's objective has always been to transform and boost organisations by putting in place a culture where employees feel autonomous and responsible, willing and capable of taking initiative. He teaches ethics, corporate social responsibility and leadership at Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management, Louvain School of Management, United Business Institute of Brussels and HEC Management School in Liege. He is also Chair of "Philosophy and Management" association and Face2faith.eu.

Laurent is passionate about philosophy and has co-authored the English translation of « Philosophizing ad infinitum » by Marcel Conche, one of France’s preeminent historians of philosophy.
