This bull, bred by Johan Debruyne, was already a very imposing animal as a calf. The Debruyne family has always searched hard to locate red bulls with impressive statures and muscularity to use in their breeding programme. His grand sire in his paternal line is the world famous Carlo van ’t Veerhuis, who is still acclaimed today for his breeding qualities. 

The Belgian Red breed is larger and longer in the body than the standard Dutch Improved Red Beef breed. Thanks to Carlo's input, the muscularity has improved considerably. Jacob Hof Ter Wilgen is an exceptional individual, who will introduce plenty of stature and weight in addition to his wonderful deep red colour.
