SUMMARY
Spermatial anamorph (Leptodothiorella): conidiomata 280-350 µm diam, sometimes slightly elongated parallel to the leaf venation, black, thin-walled, minutely papillate, the wall composed of 2-3 layers of mid brown epidermoid cells. Conidiophores not seen. Conidiogenous cells 4-5 x 3.4 µm, doliiform to ± conical, proliferating percurrently. Conidia 6-6.5 (-7) x 2-2.5 µm (measured in water), viable conidia with a guttule at each end, cylindrical with rounded ends, some slightly constricted in the mid portion and appearing dumb-bell shaped, hyaline, aseptate, thin-walled, without an epispore, gelatinous sheath or appendages.
