This track was inspired by Neil Young and The Drones and is about asphyxiation and death, specifically the phenomenon of death by anoxia attributed to a surrounding fire absorbing all of the oxygen.
The medical definition of the word anoxia is “an absence or deficiency of oxygen reaching the tissues; severe hypoxia.”

“I remember reading this story around the Black Saturday fires where people that were found in the centre of football ovals without a single burn or mark on them. What happens is the fire is so intense it sucks all of the oxygen out of the air… I thought there was a weird, not beauty in it, but it’s an interesting phenomenon. Kind of morbid…”
