Math Doodles
This twin spiral takes shape, of course, from the world-famous Fibonacci sequence…
I made a bunch of mistakes while drawing & coloring this, but thanks to the simple generative formula (and perhaps our predisposition to see the mathematical perfection behind imperfect nature), the shape still comes together.
Here are the generative squares for the initial numbers {0,1,1,2,3,5,8…}:
