Baron Herman, 77, of Naples, FL, died peacefully on November 24, 2014. He was an 11-year resident of Pelican Bay.

The devoted son of the late Melvin and Beatrice Herman, Baron was born in Detroit, MI. A graduate of Cass Tech in Detroit, he was an accomplished businessman and entrepreneur.

Baron will be fondly remembered for his charm and love of people. He had a deep passion for animals and served as a volunteer for the Conservancy of Southwest Florida. Baron was an accomplished aviator. He also enjoyed ballroom dancing, bowling, and tennis.

Baron was the beloved husband of Liv Newbury Herman; the cherished father of Jeff (Vicki) Herman, Sherry (Rob) Jones, and Kim (Jeff) Sakwa; and the proud grandfather of Ian and Blair Sakwa. He was the dear brother of Ronald (the late Sharon) Herman and the loving uncle of Beth Bernhardt, Eric Herman, and Pam Milmoe. Baron is also survived by many loving friends.

A memorial service was held November 30 for family and friends on the beach in Pelican Bay that gave Baron such peace and enjoyment.
