Since the abolition of work immigration in 1974, familly reunification became for Turkish migrants one of the main ways to enter in Belgium and in Europe.
Nowadays, the number of persons coming from Emirdag and living in Belgium and in the other European member states are more numerous than in the region of Emirdag.
The results of this study offer an analysis of the situation from the point of view of the different groups of persons concerned: young people living in Emirdag, persons recently married, persons established in Beglium after their mariage, parents both in Emirdag and in Brussels and experts.
