2023 (Senior): Mevis was tabbed for Second-Team All-SEC honors by the conference’s head coaches after converting a league-best 24 field goal attempts this fall … a two-time SEC Special Teams Player of the Week this season, he has continued to cement his place in the Missouri record book with a standout senior campaign in which he has converted 24-of-30 tries, while ranking second overall in the SEC in scoring (117 points) … named to the Lou Groza Award Watch List for the fourth year in a row, Mevis broke Mizzou’s all-time scoring record Nov. 4, tallying seven points at No. 1 Georgia, surpassing Jeff Wolfert’s (362) program record … the Warsaw, Ind., native owns the Tigers’ all-time mark for field goals (86), ranking third all-time in the SEC in that category, as well as ranking eighth on the conference’s career scoring chart (405) … also holds the program record for 50+ yard field goals, most recently nailing a 50-yarder for his 12th successful try from 50-yards or more vs. LSU (Oct. 7) … the highlight of the season—and perhaps of his career—for Mevis came against No. 15 Kansas State (Sept. 16), when he booted a game-winning, 61-yard field goal as time expired to lift Mizzou to a 30-27 victory … that kick broke the SEC record for the longest field goal in the conference’s history, edging three 60-yard kicks by Fuad Reveiz (Tennessee, 1982), Kevin Butler (Georgia, 1984) and Chris Perkins (Florida, 1984), who previously shared the record … he also kicked a game-winning 30-yard field goal to secure a 33-31 win over Florida (Nov. 18) … Mevis has converted 45-of-46 PAT tries this season and 147-of-148 for his Mizzou career.
2022 (Junior): Finished the season 22-of-28 on field goals attempts and a perfect 33-of-33 on PATS … has currently made 61 career field goals, tied for second in program history … has made 10 field goals from 50+ yards, four more than anyone in program history … scored 94 points this season with his career tally up to 283, good for fifth in program history … earned SEC Special Teams player of the week honors after going 5-for-5 on field goal attempts – including two 50+ yard makes – against Georgia (10/1).
2021 (Sophomore): Week 9 Lou Groza Star of the Week … two-time SEC Player of the Week … finished the season 23-of-25 on field goal attempts and a perfect 41-of-41 on PATs … 3-for-3 from beyond 50 yards, including a career-long 56-yard make at Boston College (9/25) … 110 points rank ninth all-time at Mizzou … hit three field goals in four different games, including each of the final three contests … 23 made field goals rank third in a single season at Mizzou … six career makes from 50+ yards are tied for the most in program history.
2020 (Freshman): Dec. 7 SEC Player of the Week … was 17-of-20 in field goals (3-4 50+) … 79 points rank 25th on Mizzou's single-season list, 11th among kickers, and are the most-ever by a Tiger freshman PK … 17 made field goals rank tied for eighth on Mizzou's single-season list … one of four kickers in Mizzou history with 3 50+ FGs (Whelihan, Jacke, McCann) … set the Mizzou single-game scoring record for a kicker with 20 points (5 FGs, 5 PATs) against Arkansas (12/5) … converted the game-winning 32-yard field goal vs. Arkansas (12/5), one of his five against the Razorbacks … made Mizzou freshman record 52-yard kick vs. No. 17/16 LSU (10/10) … 50-yard field goal at No. 21/20 Tennessee (10/3), becoming first Mizzou freshman since 1988 to make a 50+ yarder … made at least one field goal in nine of 10 games.
High School: Three-star kicking prospect by all the major recruiting services … five-star kicking prospect and the nation’s No. 2 kicker and No. 10 punter according to Kohl’s … Under Armour All-American … won the Kohl’s kicking competition in Chicago with a 65-yard boot … ESPN ranked him as the No. 2 kicker in this year’s signing class and the No. 5 prospect at any position out of Indiana … 247Sports rated him as the nation’s No. 8 kicker … helped Warsaw rank in the top 10 in Indiana for the first time since 2001 during his senior season in 2019 … named Burger King Outstanding Athlete in Warsaw in September, 2019 … tied a school-record with a 51-yard game-winning field goal against Michigan City, matching his older brother’s school record … also starred as a goalie on the soccer pitch … all-conference selection in both football and soccer … all-state football honoree … named school’s scholar athlete award winner.
Personal: Son of Tina and Tracy Mevis … older brother, Andrew, kicked collegiately at Fordham and Iowa State; now playing in the NFL.
