The gang's all here!

During Monday's 75th annual Primetime Emmy Awards, hosted by Anthony Anderson, the cast of Fox's Ally McBeal reunited to commemorate seven-plus decades of television history.

Calista Flockhart appeared on stage in a recreation of the show's bathroom set as the Ally McBeal theme song, "Searchin' My Soul" by Vonda Shepard, played. "I had to drink water; I have to take my Spanx off, I have to put my dress back on. Whoa. Girl, you look good," Flockhart, 59, told herself in the mirror, in character as the title character, the powerful-on-the-outside, hot-mess-on-the-inside lawyer Ally McBeal.

Her costars Greg Germann, Peter MacNicol and Gil Bellows then emerged from the bathroom stalls, cuing up one of the show's famous fantasy dance numbers, led by Flockhart, as the group made their way to the center of Los Angeles' Peacock Theater's stage to present an award.

"I loved working with Peter, Gil and Greg, and I still do. The entire Ally McBeal cast was so talented, magical, and [so was] the show, created by the brilliant, 11-time Emmy winner David E. Kelly," Flockhart told the audience. "Groundbreaking, revolutionary, introducing us to a dancing baby and unisex bathrooms, Ally McBeal defied convention with humor and humanity."

Flockhart presented the award for outstanding performance by a lead actor in a drama series to Succession's Kieran Culkin.

Ally McBeal ran for five seasons on Fox from 1997 to 2002. Created by David E. Kelley of Big Little Lies and Doogie Howser, M.D. fame, the legal dramedy series followed the personal and professional life of Calista Flockhart's titular lawyer character, who works at the Boston law firm Cage and Fish.

Courtney Thorne-Smith, Greg Germann, Lisa Nicole Carson, Jane Krakowski, Vonda Shepard, Portia de Rossi, Lucy Liu, Peter MacNicol and Gil Bellows also starred in the series. Other Hollywood heavyweights like Robert Downey Jr., James Marsden, Regina Hall and Hayden Panettiere also appeared on the show in its later seasons.

Ahead of Monday's Emmy Awards, the last time many of the cast members came together again was at the TV Land Awards in 2015. Reports surfaced in 2022 that a sequel series to the late '90s show was in early development at ABC.

The Ally McBeal crew are among the many iconic TV casts reuniting during TV's biggest night, with host Anderson sharing with PEOPLE that "we are paying tribute to iconic shows that have changed the scope of television and entertainment by being on the air."

"We're going to be paying homage to them, having a lot of cast members come back as themselves, as these characters," he added, "and there's going to be a little interchange between me and them on the sets of their shows."
