Fountain Butterfly Bush
Think all butterfly bushes are the same? No way. Profuse clusters of lilac-purple flowers up to 18″ in length bloom on arching willow-like branches with silvery foliage.
Can be trained as a single-trunk tree. Even when not in bloom, weeping branches create beautiful structural contrast. Blooms in early spring on previous year’s wood so prune just after flowering.
Full-part sun. Height 8-15′. Spread 10-18′. Drought tolerant. Zones 5-9.
