DE GROOTE, Willy - Mr. Willy DeGroote formerly of Simcoe & Delhi passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Thursday, July 18, 2013 in his 74th year. Willy was a devoted lifelong employee with Delhi Industries for over 30 years. Beloved husband of Paula (Desplenter) DeGroote. Loving father of Mark DeGroote (Crystal), Tillsonburg and Debby DeGroote, Tecumseh. Cherished grandfather of Bradley & Ryan. Dearest brother of Fred DeGroote, Simcoe and Roger DeGroote (Judy), St. Thomas. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and in-laws. Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME , Delhi for visitation on Sunday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs Roman Catholic Church, Delhi on Monday, July 22, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Fr. Alan Dufraimont officiating. Interment in Delhi Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Charity of your choice will be gratefully appreciated by the family. A special thanks to the caring doctors and nuses of the Norfolk General Hospital for the special care of our father.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.
Tree Planting Timeline
Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
