Monique Louis, MA, MHC-LP
Staff Therapist

My therapeutic approach is compassionate, collaborative, and results-focused. I prioritize making sure that my clients feel truly safe, seen, and understood as we work to increase their sense of personal empowerment, motivation, and hope; to find the solutions for the issues they are facing and to develop the lives they truly want for themselves.

My approach is person-centered, which means that I tailor sessions to your unique needs, ensuring that your preferences and values help guide our process and that our work together is responsive and tailored to your individual thoughts, feelings, and personal experiences. I also integrate aspects of other approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches. Through this process we identify areas of difficulty and work towards healing, emotional repair, and personal growth.

I received my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from NYU Steinhardt, where I also worked with adults and adolescents to address many types of emotional difficulties and relational problems. I’ve also received specialized training in problems related to substance use.
