An iconic example of the wonders of molded plywood by the famous team that evolved its development, the ergonomic Eames® Molded Plywood Lounge Chair (LCW), a Charles and Ray Eames design from 1946, was reissued in 1994 by Herman Miller®, the original manufacturer. The contours of its low and casual form comfortably cradle your body. (LCW stands for “lounge chair with wood base.)

The LCW is available in various colors, including MoMA Exclusive Golden Yellow. The LCW has never been produced in this color and this version is inspired by a yellow-stained-veneer LCW that was displayed in MoMA's 1946 exhibition New Furniture by Charles Eames.

Made in the USA of five-ply hardwood inner plies with neoprene shock mounts, the Eames Molded Plywood Lounge Chair (LCW)—as well as its maker, Herman Miller—is represented in MoMA's collection. The chair measures 26.5h x 22w x 24.25"d.
