CAMBRON, JOSEPH CARL, 71, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2008 at the Palliative Care Unit at Baptist Hospital East. He was born in Loretto, and was a retired employee of General Electric after 43 years of service. Carl was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church and was an Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Emily Cambron; and two siblings, Mary Ann O'Bryan and Terry Cambron.

Survivors include his wife Geneva "Bootsie" Cambron; two sons, Greg (Donna) and Ken (Tambra) Cambron; siblings, Linda Hayden, Doug Cambron, Nina Daisey, Stanley Cambron, Pam Weinstock and Patty Thomas; and six grandchildren, Caitlin, Loretta, Christian, Daniel, Aaron and Alison Cambron.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon Saturday at his church, 5915 Outer Loop, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road from 2-8:p.m. Friday and after 10 a.m. Saturday.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of Baptist East or to his church's building fund.
