The actuator, equipped with overload protection, the actuator doesn't need limit switches and will stop automatically when the end stop is reached. Manual override is possible with a push-button, which disengages the gear train for as long as the button is pressed or locked. The stroke can be adjusted using a 4mm hexagon socket screw key inserted at the actuator's top, with the stroke shaft extending when turned clockwise. The actuator can be directly mounted on the globe valve using form-fit hollow clamping jaws and it can be rotated 360° on the valve neck. The actuator can be controlled with a standard control signal of 0-10 V and moves to the position dictated by the control signal. Voltage measurement is employed both for visually displaying the valve position within the 0.5% to 100% range and as a control signal for other actuators. The default factory setting retracts the actuator stem. When shipping valve-actuator combinations, the motion direction is set based on the valve's closing point. When actuator activated, the stroke direction switch alters the running direction during normal operation.
