Two more contender groups check in at the start of TEAM UP! Europe

Organisers of the Warsaw Marathon have presented the next crews in their brand new team competition – a squad from Belgium and a mixed bunch from several European countries.

The Belgian team’s full name – “Wings for Athletes Belgium” – refers to the sports group managed by Roger Koenigs, a longtime friend of the Warsaw Marathon. Roger’s team includes Hannah Vandenbusche (Belgian champion at both 10k and half marathon), 27-year-old Enzo Noel, making spectacular progress this year, and Yohan Zaradzki, whose highlight this year has been 1:06.47 in the Seville half marathon.

The fifth team is coordinated by an experienced runner and manager, Marcin Fudalej. This time he took runners from across Europe under his wing. The youngest in the group, the Italian Benedetta Coliva is the winner of last year’s marathon in Pisa. She is partnered by an experienced, and increasingly fast-paced Polish runner Ewa Jagielska.

Both ladies will be accompanied by 29-year-old Welshman Dan Nash (with a marathon PB of 2:15.34) and Polish runner Artur Olejarz.
