Pocillopora damicornis , Seriatopora hystrix, and sponge growth after 8 months

(compare to Invertebrate diversity on rocks in the reef tank and View of rock structure in reef tank)

Stony corals and sponges have been growing rapidly. In this photo are shown small-polyped stony coral colonies that have grown substantially since the original pictures were taken 8 months ago. The brown, fuzzy, rounded colonies are Pocillopora damicornis , and the colonies with pointed branches (e.g. top center) are Seriatopora hystrix . The greyish-white tubular sponge was present but small and not visible in the original photos.
