Zuidwestbrabants Museum and its collection

The Southwest Brabant Museum is housed in an old Jesuit college built in 1650. The museum is dedicated to the history of Halle and wider surroundings. The museum deals with three themes: what does archaeology tell us? What about regional history? How did people live their lives? Visitors go from a prehistoric weaving chair to the workshop of the village weaver in 1900, from the moth castle in Bever to the potter in Lennik and from archers' guilds to art basket makers. In addition, the museum shows the pilgrimage tradition and the evolution of agriculture. Special attention is paid to the Halle cellist François Servais (1807-1866) and his family.
