About this Item
An uncommon, very early --but not 1st-- edition of "Curious George". Based on the dustjacket price of "$2.75", we're surmising this edition was published in the mid to late 1950s, some 14 to 17 years after the exceedingly scarce 1941 original edition was published. Even though this copy is missing its front free endpaper, it remains solid and very presentable. Tight, clean and VG- in its red cloth. And in a crisp, price-intact, VG- dustjacket, with 2 separate 1" pieces of tape --and several small closed tears-- along the panel edges. A bit of light, forgiveable soiling as well at the panels. Octavo, written by an uncredited Margret Rey and wonderfully illustrated thruout in rich color by her husband H.A. Rey. Seller Inventory # 14337
