Etching and stipple engraving on hand laid (verge) paper. With watermark. Description: Artists and Engravers: Made by F. Silvestre after own design. Charles Francois Silvestre (1667-1738) was an engraver and publisher who printed and held shop near the Louvre in Paris, collaborating with his brothers Louis and Alexandre. He was taught drawing and engraving by his father Israel Silvestre. Condition: Excellent, given age. Margins cropped to image edge.
