About this Item
Everyman's Library, London. 1933. 288 pages. First Everyman's Library Edition, first printing, with 8 pages of adverts in rear. Book is tight; binding and hinges are sound. Pages and endpapers are clean. Tiny brown speck on edge of first few endpapers. Blue cloth shows light rubbing at corner tips. The book's only flaw of note is the fragile cloth on the backstrip, which is starting to separate along one edge. There is a fragile, still attached chip waiting to happen, at crown. Two open chips to backstrip cloth. A few frayhairs at crown and heel. The fragile nature of the backstrip cloth is a fairly easy restoration repair, but please know this cloth needs to be handled with care until it is repaired. To reaffirm, there is no issue with the integrity or strength of the binding and or hinges; it's just the fragile backstrip cloth. As such, a good minus copy; with flaws noted.
