Half brown pebble grain morocco over dark green buckram, titles stamped in gilt on the spine, five raised bands, marbled endpapers, edges sprinkled. Leaves moderately age-toned, spine ends rubbed, small dents to board edges. Political and economic progressive Gide (1847-1932) was co-founder of the French cooperative philosophy Ecole de Nîmes.
