1. Seven species of aquatic dance flies (Hemerodromiinae, Clinocerinae) were recorded from Bolu, Turkey. 2. All species are new to the fauna of Turkey: Wiedemannia fallaciosa (Loew 1873), Wiedemannia zetterstedti (Fallén 1826), Wiedemannia vaillanti (Joost,1981), Wiedemannia lamellata (Loew 1869), Chelifera stigmatica (Schiner 1862), Hemerodromia raptoria Meigen 1830, Hemerodromia oratoria (Fallén 1816).

Aquatic Dance flies (Diptera, Empididae: Clinocerinae, Hemerodromiinae) of the River CetinaThe aquatic dance fly fauna on the Cetina River was investigated between May and September 2005 and during March and April 2006. Samples were collected with an aspirator and by hand netting at 8 different locations through the whole stream flow of the Cetina River and at the springs of three tributaries (Sveti Spas spring, spring of Ruda River and spring of Grab River). The purpose of the research was to investigate the diversity of the aquatic dance flies (Diptera, Empididae) and to determine which locality had the greatest species richness. Twenty species of aquatic dance flies from 6 different genera were recorded. Four genera belong to the subfamily Clinocerinae (Clinocera, Dolichocephala, Kowarzia, Wiedemannia) and two genera to the subfamily Hemerodrorniinae (Hemerodromia, Chelifera). Radmanove mlinice, near the mouth of the river Cetina into the Adriatic Sea was the most species-rich site.

First record of Wiedemannia ljerkae Ivković et Sinclair, 2017 (Diptera: Empididae) from Albania with an updated checklist of aquatic dance flies occurring in the country2020 •
Wiedemannia ljerkae Ivković et Sinclair, 2017 is recorded from Albania for the first time (Sarandë District). The updated checklist of aquatic Empididae (Clinocerinae and Hemerodromiinae) from this country is provided. The potential diversity of the Albanian fauna of dance flies is discussed based on a comparison with faunas of neighboring countries.

The Aquatic Dance flies fauna (Diptera, Empididae: Hemerodromiinae and Clinocerinae) of the Plitvice Lakes National ParkAdult aquatic dance flies were collected in the Plitvice Lakes National Park from 2005 to 2009 using various sampling methods. Sampling was done at 13 sampling sites representing four main types of karst aquatic habitats: spring, stream, tufa barriers and lakes. A total of 22 species were recorded belonging to 6 genera. Four species (Chelifera pyrenaica Vaillant, 1981; Hemerodromia laudatoria Collin, 1927; Clinocera wesmaeli (Macquart, 1835); Wiedemannia (Philolutra) aquilex (Loew, 1869)) are new to Croatian fauna. The highest species richness was recorded for the Bijela rijeka Spring. The cluster analysis showed that sites group together not just by similarity of community composition but as well in similarity of habitat types. Clustering of geographically nearby sites is also observed. This study represents an important contribution to the knowledge of dance flies fauna of Croatia and of various karstic habitats in general.

The study was carried out to contribute the Empididae (Diptera) fauna in Aydın, Isparta and Muğla provinces of Turkey in 2005. It was reported that four empidid species have been recorded in Turkey. Two of these species belonging to three genera were recorded for the first time for the Turkish Empididae fauna. These species are: Chelifera precatoria (Fallén) and Rhamphomyia (Rhamphomyia) sulcatina Collin. With this study, the number of empidid species is updated to 92 species in Turkey.
In this study six Heteroptera species are reported for the first time from Turkey; Dicyphus (Mesodiyphus) martinoi Josifov, 1958; Campylomma simillimum Jakovlev, 1882; Orthotylus (Melanotrichus) rubidus (Puton 1874); Orthotylus (Litocoris) ericetorum arboreae Wagner, 1969; Heegeria tangirica (Saunders, 1877) and Brachysteles parvicornis (Costa, 1847). Additionally a new synonymy is proposed; Orius (Heterorius) laticollis laticollis (Reuter, 1884) = Orius (Heterorius) laticollis discolor (Reuter, 1884) syn. n. and a remarkable color form of C. simillimum is mentioned.

An annotated check-list of the aquatic and semi-aquatic bugs of the infraorders Enicocephalomorpha, Dipsocoromorpha, Nepomorpha, Gerromorpha, and Leptopodomorpha of Turkey and its geographical parts (Turkish Thrace [i.e., European Turkey] and Anatolia [i.e., the Asian Turkey]) is presented. The nomenclatoric history of Alpagut Kıyak, 1995 (= Harpago Linnavuori, 1951, = Raunocoris Baena & Alonso-Zarazaga, 2009) is reviewed, its gender is fixed, and two new combinations are proposed: Alpagut maroccanus (Wagner, 1960) comb. nov., and Alpagut medius (Rey, 1888) comb. nov. The list is based on a survey of all published records as well as on examination of collection material, including recent material collected in the poorly explored Turkish Thrace. The following numbers of species are accepted as occurring in Turkey: Enicocephalomorpha—1 species (Asian Turkey only), Dipsocoromorpha—2 species (Asian Turkey only), Nepomorpha—49 species (29 in European and 47 in Asian Turkey), Gerromorpha—...
