Shoe is true to size. This is very comfortable due to air cushion sole. Initially I received the wrong style shoe as it the label attached to it was wrong. I returned it the same day and I received the correct style shoe the next day which was a Sunday. I am truly appreciative to Amazon as they try their best to correct mistakes.

These are nice they are leather and have been great so far still need more time to break them in. The leather is hard so needs to get regular use to losen up. I will update as soon as I get more use. I am concerned with the sole as I have the combat boots and they have started to separate. Others have noted that the soles are not built as good as they were in the past and the the better quality is now on their premium boots. Time will tell
As of now theses are great and hoping I get years of use. Will update in a few months.

Doc Ms have a style of their own. Having had them before I can tell you this are amazing.
They are not water proof or broken in. I would recommend wearing them for a week to break them in and then mink oil to water proof and make the leather supple. Other than that, they are a dream. A little expensive but worth it. I have had many different boots and nothing compares. Every boots has its own style. Thursday boots are probably the closest but not Timberlands or Wolverines.

They fit a bit snug at the beginning but like al Doc's they will require some break in, however not nearly as much as a regular pair. They were comfortable to walk in and after a few days including some decent walks they are one of the most comfortable shoes I've worn. The sole is a bit thicker then regular Doc's, almost as tall as my 1460 bex. I've walked on an icy sidewalk and never felt like I'd slip or lose footing. The lining and supple arcadia leather make the very comfortable around your feet and oxblood red is very cool looking.

The comfort and lite weight are awesome! The size and fit are perfect. I have worn boots most of my life. I'm a landscape photographer, with a lot of hiking involved. I couldn't wait to try them out. I found, in a wooded relatively flat terrain,it's a 10 of 10, and in moutainous rocky terrain a 6 of 10. In rocky hill terrain, the grip was only average and the bottom of my feet were a briefly sore after. However, this style of boot was not made for heavy hiking, I was just pushing it a little. These boots are for comfort, style, and lite hiking, and they deliver!

Not sure a full size smaller would have worked. I'm pretty much a true size 9, and maybe with thicker soz but, if they stretched any would slide I think. Still debating ordering a size down and giving them a try.
