This EKO Stainless Steel Kitchen Compost Bin has been a great addition to my kitchen. This thing is not only sturdy and looks good, but it's also super easy to use and clean. What I really love is the swing lid that stays up when you open it – a real handy feature when you're busy cooking and your hands are full. It's also mounted on the cabinet door, which saves a lot of counter space, and the size is just right for daily use without taking up too much room.

Elegant and high end kitchen waste bin
The best kitchen waste bin I've ever used. It is more expensive than other but it deserve the price. It comes with the inner removable bin makes it easy to clean and you won't see the bag at all when the lid is close. The double side flip over lid is a big highlight for this product. You can either pull it down or lift it up. The size is perfect as a kitchen waste bin. Also, you don't even need to buy the trash bag, you can just use the grocery bag from the supermarket and they are good fit for the inner bin. I really love it.

This could easily be a five-star can with a few improvements.
1). It needs non marking color matching silicone standoffs towards the bottom on the back of the can to prevent it from rubbing against and marring your cabinet doors or wall. I ended up using tall silicone sticky feet to achieve this.
2). The brushed stainless steel clad lid, has a matte finish and not at all fingerprint resistant. It needs a coating of sorts to make life simpler and not have to clean off fingerprints.
3). It needs to come with a minimum of 2 sample trash bags which are coded size A.
This way you'll know if you'd want to order them again.
Other than my three gripes listed above it is a nice can. Although you should know the stainless steel is magnetic, so has ferrous metal in it which is what rusts. Time will tell if water and other drippings gather in a little crevices and it begins to rust. I'll report back on that if it becomes an issue.
It comes with two different types of hangers. One is made to fit over a cabinet door or the face of a drawer. This can accommodate thicknesses of up to 7/8" of an inch, which is slightly under 1" inch.
The other is a large adhesive pad, which is great if you want this inside of a cabinet door and have the space.
I ended up using the over the cabinet door hook for when I am washing and prepping foods. And the adhesive pad to place it on the wall in my laundry when not in use.
This not only makes a nice composting bin but also a great size trash bin in an RV hung off a cabinet door so you don't have to bend over as far.
I don't technically know the dimensions or gallon size of the trash liners it uses, but standard size grocery bags fit well.
In general I'm pleased with its function and appearance Just hopefully they make improvements in future manufacturing runs to make this a more user friendly can.
