We have been working on some ideas to help guide the line for our venue, and these were the obvious choice. Brass colored ends with sturdy spring loaded latches, feel substantial, as to the ropes themselves. They have a slightly squishy urethane type material inside, giving them a soft, yet firm feel. Velvet is just fine, not super velvety, but seems like it should suffice, and looks great, very bright red, nobody will miss these in front of them. No additional hardware is included other than the brass rope end thingies, so you will need appropriate mounts and/or posts to attach them to. Nice, and they do exactly what they are supposed to.
