The Lutron Toggler 600-Watt 3-Way dimmer switch is a simple and inexpensive way to add ambiance to your bedroom or other room in your home while saving energy and extending bulb life. The slide dimmer varies the brightness of the bulb to a desired level, and the toggle switch turns the light off and on to a preset level. This dimmer switch is designed to replace or match your traditional toggle style switches. Designed with a shallow 1 in. deep back cover for easy installation, the Toggler works with your existing traditional multi-gang wall plates. Coordinating Fassada wall plates and accessories sold separately.

This is a well made, nice operating dimmer. This dimmer does provide virtually full brightness as well as very deep dimming. It most applications full brightness is a convenient setting.

Unlike dimmers that have the term "Eco" in the name, this dimmer is full range. The "Eco" dimmers do not have full on capability. That is, at the brightest setting they don't quite run the lights at quite full brilliance. That is a slight nuisance for me.

I ordered this standard shipping and it arrived just two days later, took about twenty minutes to install and works great. I like the fact that the slim switch and dimmer fit through the exisitng rectangular hole for a standard switch. I have a four switch plate where I installed this one and I just had to move the other swicthes slightly to get it lined up. Make sure power is off and dimmer is in lowest position before installing or you will smoke this thing or even worse-yourself. My set up has this switch controlling five 75W PAR 30 recessed lighting fixtures in my kitchen. I have another switch in the other room but no dimmer on that one. I hate that PAR 30 bulbs cost about $8-$9 each but there is no high efficiency bulb that matches the yellow and warmth of them. Having them dimmed not only saves energy but prolongs the life of the bulbs. This is the way to go if you are tired of replacing PAR 30 bulbs all the time and you don't always want the full blast of the flood lights on you.

Flickers bad

Terrible. I have 4 CREE led can lights on this and it works fine at first but no matter what light level <high or low or anywhere in between those> it flickers after 8 or 9 minutes.

The engineering is flawed in the dimmer. These lights worked great for a year without it and all.of a sudden after 8 or 9 minutes they flicker.

I don't know if I have a bad unit or bad design, but infirmly believe that if it was a design issue the manufacturer would know about it or it is a bad quality control issue and then stillnthe testing was not done or was not done up to standard.

Great dimmer for LED lights

I put the dimmer in my kitchen where I have five 75 watt LED BR44 lights. The dimmer works great with the five recessed lights. Without the dimmer the lights were too bright. Now I can adjust as needed, a nice warm yellow glow.

The dimmer worked so well I installed a second one for the kitchen nook area that has two 75 watt BR40 LED bulbs. My house is now about 95% LED.
