    • Motorized 100mm ALPS fader + Mute, Solo & Fader channel buttons

    SEMI-WEIGHTED KEYS

Panorama’s keyboard action uses weights to offset the otherwise increasing tension you would experience from the spring. This delivers a clean down movement, and ensures that the keyboard is not heavy or fatiguing to play. What's more, the action's dynamic range is much wider than found on most other controllers and 5 different velocity curves allow you to adjust the feel to your playing style. Channel aftertouch, pitch bend and modulation wheels, plus foot switch and expression pedal jacks set you up for performance.

    TFT COLOUR DISPLAY

The 3.5″ color TFT display delivers detailed information for each mode or menu, regardless of whether you are controlling your DAW or assigning MIDI functions. This ensures a fluent and fast workflow: Panorama takes the hard work out of operating a controller and makes operations straight-forward and simple.

    MAXIMUM CONTROL

An unrivalled amount of assignable controls makes Panorama the most comprehensive and fully featured MIDI controller keyboard around: 16 encoders, nine 45mm faders, one 100mm motorized ALPS fader, 10 LED buttons, 28 buttons, 12 pads, foot switch and expression pedal jacks, keyboard with aftertouch, pitch bend and modulation wheels gives you realtime control of up to 93 parameters. You can store settings in 20 presets with individually savable and loadable keyboard-, pad- and F-keys-maps.

    PRO-CONSOLE FEATURES

A motor-fader is great for mixing, because you can always see what's going on. Used with Nektar DAW Integration, Panorama's motorized 100mm touch-sensitive ALPS fader gives you pro-console mixer channel control: Watch the fader pick up and move to the current value when you change tracks, or ride it to record and automate continuous level changes. Additionally, two LED buttons control Solo and Mute – so no matter what mode you are operating Panorama in, you always have pro-console control within reach.

    Panorama P4 Infogram

    INTERNAL MODE: GENERIC MIDI CONTROL

Apart from all the pre-configured smart controller functionality, Panorama is of course also fully MIDI programmable: So you can use all this power to control external MIDI devices, modules or software. 20 presetsprovide a lot of room for that, and factory maps for eg. Virus TI, Prophet T8 or Minitaur get you started right away. The Control edit menu makes it easy to set up your own preset or F-keys map: Simpy select a control and assign the required MIDI command in real-time: MIDI CCs, Notes, Program, NRPNs and more. For each control, values can be scaled, reversed and assigned specific or global MIDI channels. Switching between Internal and Transport, Mixer or Instrument mode is seamless - so you can use all of the features at the same time!

    Pads with pressure

    extended transport

    Control your daw

    Deep plugin control

    PADS WITH PRESSURE

Twelve velocity and pressure-sensitive pads with 7 velocity curveswill inspire you to play in ways you would never do on a keyboard. And programming the pads couldn't be easier: Press a pad, press a key to assign…done. “Velocity Spread” quickly spreads one note across all 12 pads, each with its own fixed velocity. The “Scale-Function” assigns each pad to pitches within any of the pre-defined 30+ scales: It’s a quick way to completely change pad assignments while changing intervals or transposing the whole set on the fly - great for percussive performances.

DAW devices such as Reason's ReDrum or Studio One's Impact XT are automatically assigned to pads in Instrument mode with their sound parameters on the knobs, delivering genuine drum machine feeling.

    EXTENDED TRANSPORT

Being able to navigate projects from the keyboard enhances the workflow a lot. Hit play, activate record or to jump to a locator, it is all right where you need it: Panorama features an extended 11 button transport bar: Return to L, Forward to R, Undo, Click on/off, Record Mode, Cycle on/off, Back, Forward, Stop, Play and Record. Using the shift button, these also double up as 11 function buttons, each assignable to MIDI commands or QWERTY macro’s.

With DAW integration active, the functions are pre-assigned to control Click, Undo, to set record modes and more.

    CONTROL YOUR DAW

For Bitwig, Cubase, Nuendo, Logic, Reaper, Reason and Studio One users, Panorama is a dream come true. Of course you can use Panorama with any MIDI software, but the included Nektar DAW Integration software hooks up automatically to your DAW, so you can start making music right away, Panorama takes care of all assignments. It is just one button press to switch between controlling the Mixer, Instruments and Transport thanks to Panorama’s mode buttons, with the 4th mode, Internal, still providing access to traditional MIDI control.

The integration with supported DAWs is so deep, that you can control it without constantly reaching for the mouse. Panorama gives you the creative freedom to just focus on your music.

    DEEP PLUGIN CONTROL

With DAW Integration active and Instrument mode selected, you can tweak VST and AU plugins from Panorama for a true hardware synth feel. Many popular plugins are pre-mapped for instant use. Nektar factory maps are typically set up with envelopes on the faders and oscillator, filter and other parameters on the encoders for a unified workflow - but of course you can edit them to your liking easily.

For supported DAWs, all internal processors and plugins like Logic's ES2, Studio One's Mojito or Reason's Thor are pre-mapped for instant use with parameter feedback on P4's crisp display. And these maps are deep: Access multiple pages for that true hardware synth feel.

    Better than I expected
First off, I use Logic Pro X. I was using a Nektar LX25 because of the space saving and it was great but I soon realized I needed more keys. Since my experience with the LX series was flawless I decided to check out the P4. It looked a little pricey compared to its competition but I assure you this thing is in another league. This isn't a cheap plastic lightweight controller with toy-like feeling keys. This is a solid well built instrument. I noticed in other reviews that there was limited integration with Logic, they must not have it set up properly. I have a ton of instrument control, not only transport and mixing as some have said. Also, the feel of the keyboard in my opinion is great. That was one of the big selling points for me. If you are not happy with the feel then just adjust it... I didn't like the response out of the box but I adjusted it to my playing style and I love it. I hardly touch my mouse anymore using the P4 and that was my main reason for buying it. After using the P4 for a few weeks I realize that it was a deal for the price. I recommend that if you have a problem with the P4 make sure you have it setup correctly and know how to set it up to your liking.

First, this device is just a pretty machine! It's aesthetically just very attractive, that's what grabbed me when I stumbled on it. I said "What is that? I GOTTA HAVE THAT BOARD!"
2nd DID I tell you that this device is just a very pretty machine? OK. It's performance capabilities are well worth the money. The ability to shape and control sound is beyond belief. Everyday I use it feels like the first day of Kwanza...or Haunaka...or Xmas, or whatever you celebrate.
It's useful with just about any DAW but it was MADE for the Reason DAW.
With Reason by Propellerhead (which as an FL Studio kid I was reluctant to use at first but highly surprised and now hooked) the keyboard is fully functional...it's the only DAW that works with P6 in two way communication. I.e. change parameters on the computer changes parameters on the board and vice versa. I'm a big FL Studio user and was disappointed when I discovered functions are very limited unless you go in and set up your automation templates. But Reason with all of its bundled instruments and effects more than over compensate for the switchover. And while the DAW is bout' $350 a free demo version online of Reason 10 is available for download and fully functional...you just can't save songs, but a real audio engineer doesn't let that stop him/her.
The other beautiful part is control of Reasonz mixer DAW from the board. Dude...THE FRIGGIN VOLUME CONTROL IS MOTORIZED AND MOVES BY ITSELF WHEN YOU PROGRAM IT IN MIDI. What other controller does that? More stuff puts this joint among the stars but I'm not getting paid for this review...find out for yaself. E.g. the P6 can control the mixer in Reason seamlessly. But if you decide not to use Reason you'll still enjoy the effective P6 MIDI integration and control of whatever DAW you do use.
So whatz thumbs down with this baby?
    1. The manual SUUUUUUUCKS...it's a 4/10. But a real audio engineer....well you get me. But the owner of Nektar, Neil's and his tech team in Stockholm are VERRY helpful and quick about answering questions via email. Really. After a while I felt guilty because I kept sending them questions about the P6 but I think because they love what they do at Nektar, making us happy makes them happy. And their website is an 8/10 when it comes to getting you the right driver and firmware for your device as well as other info, so count that as a plus.
    2. The Nektar website pushes the Bitwig DAW...dude, smile at that offer and keep it movin' right on over to Propellerhead and download the Reason Demo...you won't be dissatisfied. I simply wasn't impressed with Bitwig. Reason 10 is miles above what they used to be back in the day. Instruments, effects, workflow and SOUNDS. The sounds are really nice and the pallatte is diverse in synthesis type. From thick lush pads to crisp bells and ambient strings to classy and classic solo patches...you won't get bored, and that's even before you start tweaking the knobs and sliders on the P6. Nektar really needs to push the Reason DAW...its the logical choice for this axe.
So get your P2, P4 or P6 TODAY!!!

This is my review of the Nektar Panorama after using it steadily for 4 years, and of having to send it in for repair recently/dealing with Nektar's customer service.

In fact it was this excellent customer service that prompted me to write this review. I'm not being paid to write this; am merely a very impressed consumer.

Things i've liked over the 4 years (and i'd give the product 4 stars for this):

    1. Excellent out of warranty service - will touch on this later in the review
    2. Motorized fader still works great, and is a great asset to many in smaller project studios
    3. DAW intergration in Logic and Cubase remains great, that being said, the driver installation/reinstallation needs to be done properly
    4. Smaller faders are all reprogrammable
    5. LCD display still works great after all these years.
    6. Keys are all still working as new, none are stuck or have given way, and I do alot of sequencing and repeated notes.
    7. Looks slick, futuristic and i always get the comment what keyboard is that, looks cool. Especially those red LEDs under the pitch bend and modwheel.

    Things I've not liked

    1. After 4 years, the USB port on the back became wonky and prompted the repair/contacting customer service.
They rectified this by replacing it FREE OF CHARGE and shipping it back to me (im local to CA) for free. So, they get an extra star for that, bringing it back up to 5.
    2. Driver integration can be iffy if you're installing it for the first time. You have to install a software thing, then a firmware update, and restart your DAW a few times for it to work properly.
    3. It doesn't behave well with tracks that have 'very' identical naming, i.e. Flute 1 and Flute 12, probably best to name it Flute A and Flute B or something. Like the keyboard goes into this flashing mode as though it cant decide which one is being selected.
    4. The 'touch' of the black keys, as other reviewers have mentioned, is much stronger than the white keys. Doesn't play intuitively like a piano, but as a hybrid piano programming thing, is fantastic. It's great for repeated notes, even on the keys themselves. But for piano performances, it might take some getting used to.
    5. The motorized fader requires separate USB power to function, and you'll need to buy a 3rd party USB power port and a micro usb cable to provide supplemental power to the motorized fader.

So you're wondering, in spite of all my dislikes, why a 5 star review? Well, if not for them having great customer service to boot, it would probably be 4, which is still really good, but the attentiveness and care I've received from their customer service (they're a small company) has been so great that I feel the least I could do was to write a great and honest review. Basically, it's totally been worth the investment for me. I've had other keyboards where the keys have given out in less than 2 years with much less use.

To conclude, a great product many years later, and would totally buy it again in a heartbeat. Thank you Nektar! I hope this helps bring more attention to your company, you deserve it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Eccellente con Reason 10 e con molti altri DAW.

1.0 out of 5 stars Frechheit, was hier verschickt wird!

(Sh. Foto)

    Es gibt dann zwei Möglichkeiten:

    a) bei Nektar findet keinerlei Qualitätskontrolle statt.

    NULL Empfehlung!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great DAW controller for Cubase
Reviewed in India on April 6, 2018

Excellent MIDI controller for Cubase... Really deep DAW integration... Greatly reduces the need to look at the screen and use the QWERTY keyboard and mouse... giving a much more tactile process of music making. The build quality seems to be good and sturdy... But will be sure about that only after using it for a few months...
