For medical reasons, I needed to eliminate acid from coffee and caffeine as much as possible. I reluctantly decided to try low acid, decaf coffee. I decided to try Puroast brand as the reviews were better than the other 4 brands I looked up. The price is higher than the coffee gave up, however, I didn't lose any flavor as this coffee tastes really good. (Full disclosure...I do drink quite a bit of coffee but I am far from being a coffee connoisseur.)

I was one of those people that had their morning latte every single day until my stomach started having issues. I tried having less and less espresso, switched to decaf, tried different kinds, to a point where I couldn't have any coffee at all. It made me very sad because I looked forward to having it as part of my morning routine. This coffee is such a blessing! It doesn't bother my stomach at all, even when I have it everyday. I just brew a really strong cup of coffee (I used the tip someone had in the coffee of using 3 tablespoons and continually wetting it only to the top of the grounds) and it tastes pretty similar to my typical iced lattes. Obviously less strong than espresso, but I think you could probably grind this up finer and brew it like espresso too. And it comes in a way bigger bag than I originally thought. I got the smallest size and it was like 3x the size of a normal coffee bag haha.

Taste, color, and grind is off

I bought Pureroast coffe for years for the low acidity and enjoyed the rich flavor of the Dark French Roast. However, the past several times I've ordered it something has changed. The color is much lighter than before (see picture of prior color/grind surrounded by current color/grind) and the taste is terrible. It doesn't even have a good coffee smell - almost a metallic smell. The drip grind is much finer than before that it doesn't even fill up the bag like it used to. It looks and tastes like a bad instant coffee. I thought it was just a fluke the first time so I gave it another shot, including trying the Expresso Roast and the Dark Columbian, but all were the same. I don't know what could have happened, perhaps they are getting their beans elsewhere or have a different roasting/grinding method, but I am very disappointed with this coffee and will never order it again.

I'm not sure about this coffee. The ground is very fine, not necessarily what you would want/ expect. It seems very dry, almost sandy, not fresh. There is not really a good aroma, from the grounds, or the fresh made coffee. Overall, it just really seems questionable and lacking in quality. On top of that, the paper shipping bag it arrived in was torn, taped, and wet, although somehow the coffee inside arrived unscathed.
