Barbara Fagan is committed to taking a strong stand for positive change with the people and organizations she works with. She believes in the potential of every human being and that we are all capable of creating what we want in life. She has been known for her professional integrity and her quick and witty “zaps of truth,” which her clients tell her can move mountains of resistance.

Barbara left AT&T in 1987 after twenty years of work and was still under the age of forty. With her experience in almost every aspect of business, she began coaching organizations involved in creating products and services in the new technology arena. She has had the opportunity to coach clients in their strategic direction and through change initiatives, as well as individuals facing life-changing situations.

Barbara continues to learn about change with every client. By 2003, she had spent over 20,000 hours coaching individuals and organizations. She then decided to develop the Certified Professional Coach Curriculum and began to train and certify professional coaches. Since then, she has continued to deliver this program and the leadership training throughout the United States, Mexico, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Greater China. Source Point Training programs are accredited to the highest level, with both the International Association for Coaching headquartered in London and the International Coach Federation (ICF) in the United States.

In her personal life, Barbara enjoys gardening, spending time with friends and family around the world, and being home with her fur family. For the past thirty years, she has lived in Healdsburg, California, in Sonoma County, where she enjoys the changing seasons, the beauty of nature around her, and a community that provides great healing and restoration.

This book is brilliant! It is as if you are benefiting from having Barbara Fagan personally coaching you in ALL areas of you life. The basic premise is to assist you in looking deeply in creating the life that you truly dream of living. The structure is so useful in navigating, organizing, and clarifying your purpose and values through asking powerful questions. It is such a useful resource using many real stories illuminating and empowering of clients she coached over the past 30+ years.

There is also a beautiful vulnerability in that she shares her own personal journey of personal and professional changes that gives this book a rich quality in reading it. This is not just another “how to” book, but “we are in this together.”

I highly recommend this book, as it will become a staple in your library.

A Guide to moving forward:
The Author draws from her 30 years of coaching individual people with personal challenges and also businesses and employees endeavoring to work in teams and expand their business. Using actual cases as well as situations in her own life as examples of how what she is coaching really works she gives directions on how a plan should be created.
When confronted with inevitable changes or choices at crossroads in life she explains how to proceed in order to reach success. There is so much in this book to guide one forward.
We learn a lot about the author whose experiences must have helped her so much in putting into practice what she is coaching.
I took many notes which I can look back on to reinforce what she is teaching, and from which I am sure I will benefit. - Most of all “Pause, consider your goal and plan”
She leaves us with words of wisdom and lists of how to proceed.
Well written and easy to read and full of useful suggestions.

I loved this book! Barbara is a master at weaving together innovative strategies that are less like abstract concepts and more like tangible tools to navigate life's twists and turns. It's not a preachy roadmap but rather a friendly, heartfelt conversation, offering fundamental steps to accept, adapt to, and embrace change. Barbara guides us through the journey of defining our purpose, establishing a vision, and committing to action. The benefits promised are not elusive dreams but attainable realities – gaining clarity, confidence, and a renewed sense of hope. This book really resonated with me — knowing that I'm not alone when I'm feeling out of alignment, and knowing that there are tangible steps I can take to get back on track. A must-read for anyone seeking guidance and inspiration during life's transformative moments. It's the kind of book that makes us realize change is not an obstacle but an opportunity. What a gift.
