I wanted something special for the master bedroom to highlight the antique bed and outdoorsy decor, yet be upscale. I had purchased from Bates before and was impressed with the quality and beauty of their bedspreads. This bedspread did not disappoint. This is the absolutely perfect bedspread for the room and I couldn't be happier. It pulls the room together and makes everything look better. Perfect!
This bedspread is everything I could have hoped for. I looked for months online for a good king size bedspread and finally found this one. It's warm, and heavy, very snuggly, which is exactly what I wanted. Extremely well made with very high quality materials, not like the cheap outsourced bedspreads that flood the market today. This is the real thing. And of course, it looks fantastic, great color (maroon).

Purchased the "Maroon" Spirit of America Cotton Bedspread. The quality of the bedspread is outstanding. The "maroon" color is more of a lavender that leans slightly red. The photos on the site are very accurate for an actual color reference. Since my wife favorite color is purple she loved it. Also, this particular pattern makes making the bed a snap.
