 Description: Colonies diameter on Corn Meal Agar larger 50 mm in 90 days at 25°C, effuse, velvety, orange grey to brownish grey; reverse brownish grey. Mycelium immersed, composed of branched, septate, smooth, roughened or verruculose, hyaline to greyish brown, 1.0-4.2 μm hyphae. Conidiophores macronematous, mononematous, erect or repent, straight or flexuous, septate, smooth, roughened to verrucose, greyish brown, the paler upper part bearing fertile branched, 170.0-762.0 × 3.3-5.4 μm. Conidiogenous cells polyblastic, sympodial, denticulate. Conidia solitary, acropleurogenous, globose or subglobose, liberated by rhexolytic form, hyaline, smooth to delicately roughened, 3.3-5.8 μm wide, often with persistent separating cell at the base.

 Note: This species is easily distinguished by browish grey colonies and macronematous, septae, brown conidophores with paler upper part bearing fertile branched, polyblastic, denticulate conidiogenous cells, and having globose, hyaline, roughened conidia.
