Ronald Richard DuVal, age 89, of Canton, Ohio passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022.
He was born January 23, 1933 in Detroit, MI to the late Ralph and Muriel (Dornan) DuVal. He graduated from St. Gertrude High School in Michigan. Ronald was a veteran of the US Marine Corps during the Korean War receiving the Purple Heart. He retired from Chrysler Corporation after 32 years of service. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Parish.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Michael Stangelo; and sister, Beverly Coleman. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Irene L. DuVal; children, Steven DuVal, Victoria (Joel) Migneron, Jeff DuVal, and David (Pam) DuVal; grandchildren, Kristi (Steve) Lodico, Jennifer (Kevin) Welch, Erica Warner, Jon (Vikki) DuVal, and Michael (Jackie) DuVal; great-grandchildren, Maxwell, Brynne, Killian, Michelle, and Logan; brothers, Ralph, Jim, and Doug DuVal.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00pm on Friday, December 2, 2022 at St Michael the Archangel Parish, 3430 St. Michael Blvd. NW, Canton, Ohio. Friends may call from 11am - 12pm at the church. Following cremation, a private burial will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements under the direction of Karlo-Libby Funeral Home.
