Robert L. Imler

Robert L. Imler 78, of Bedford, died on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at his residence.  He was born on March 28, 1944 in Bedford a son of the late John C. and Magdalen “Dena” M. (Heming) Imler Sr.  On November 20, 1971 in Bedford he married Sandra (Logue) Imler who survives along with two children: Dawn Fox and fiancé George Beckett of New Paris, and William Lee Imler and wife Jennifer of New Paris; ten grandchildren: Christopher Sherrill and wife Dream, Jaimi DeVitto and fiancé George Kerr, Dakota Fox, Skylar Fox and fiancé Michael Bish, Stephan Hanks and fiancée Sarah Scritchfield, Darrick Hanks and fiancée Carla Bush, Taylor Ickes, Dylan Presnell, Nick Presnell, and Trevor Imler; and six great-grandchildren: Cody, Shepherd, Creed, Phoenix, Bayleigh, and Collin.  He was preceded in death by two daughters: Bonnie Sherrill and Bonnie Fox; and a brother John C. Imler Jr.

Robert worked in the shipping department at Hedstrom for 38 years until its closing.  He enjoyed mowing, playing in bowling leagues, and attending the grandchildren’s events and activities.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 12:00 p.m., at the Friends Cove United Church of Christ, with Rev. Dr. William Shrout officiating.  Burial at Woods Church Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at the church.  Arrangements by the Timothy A.
