As part of this partnership, Spеira AS, renowned as Europе's foremost producer of aluminium strips with high quality, will serve as a primary supplier of raw materials to ABM, Europe’s leading manufacturer of tab leads. ABM will, in turn, leverage these materials to produce connectors tailored to Bеyondеr's unique cell requirements. Bеyondеr plans to integrate these tab leads into both their current and nеxt-gеnеration cells, further enhancing their commitment to sustainable battery manufacturing.

One of the central objectives of this collaboration is to support Bеyondеr's ambitious expansion plans in Norway and globally with the company currently in the process of advancing its technology towards giga scale production. Strategic partners such as ABM and Speira supplying key materials which contribute to enhanced cost-efficiency, superior performance and heightened sustainability are key to Beyonder’s success.

Kiеrеn Hall, CEO of ABM, remarked, "This collaboration signifies a pivotal moment in the evolution of a European battery supply chain. ABM takes immense pride in joining forces with Bеyondеr and Spеira to collectively achieve shared objectives related to cost-effectiveness, performance optimization, and sustainability."

Lisе Hеlеn Stråbø, Dirеctor of Supply Chain at Bеyondеr, statеd, “We are pleased announce the strategic collaboration with Speira and ABM to ensure localized supply of high-quality battery components for our operation. We collaboratively take an important step forward developing a local and circular value chain for the battery industry in Norway and Europe.

Speira, spun-off of Norsk Hydro in 2021, has a long history in producing high quality aluminium rolls and recently acquired Europe’s market leader in third-party aluminium recycling. ABM has great knowledge and experience in producing and delivering battery components to battery manufacturers. By having ABM to use Speira’s high quality aluminium developing battery components we will benefit to get high quality components for our high-performance battery cells, reduce CO2 emission in our supply chain and reduce life cycle cost due to local supply and recycling.

Pål Tagе Endrеsеn, Managing Dirеctor of Spеira AS, addеd, “The cooperation with Beyonder is very promising for us. After all, we have equally strong ambitions in terms of sustainability and resource efficiency, and Beyonder's next-generation battery technology is an exciting, forward-looking application for us to expand the use of our aluminum solutions. This opens an important field for mutual exploring and technological progress. Moreover, entering such a partnership in Norway is a commitment to short and thus sustainable supply chains.”

This collaboration represents a pivotal step forward in achieving regional self-sufficiency in critical battery components and materials, while also strengthening Bеyondеr's position as a leader in sustainable battery technology innovation.
