Light toning and dust-soil to jacket, a hint of shelf wear, else Very Good or better. Letterpress note affixed to front free endpaper (now loose, the glue having perished) inscribed and signed by the author as "Alice and Tom Desmond."

Biography of the future "Madame Royale," daughter of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette. The author Alice Curtis Desmond also tackled the lives of Martha Washington, Dolly Madison, and Elizabeth Hamilton.
