(TRADE CARD) DAVELUY OF BRUGES. Trade Card for the Young Ladies 1Academy, Sisters of Notre Dame, Cincinnati. (circa 1860). Lithograph printed card (5 1/4 x 6 3/4 inches). Eight sisters of Notre Dame de Namur arrived in Cincinnati from Belgium in 18 They were eager to teach and founded the first Notre Dame school in the Unite States. This trade card illustrates this first school with a French caption "Etablissement des soeurs de Notre Dame, a Cincinnati, Etats Unis." With elaborate border in gold. Very good. 40574.
