Quality I can trust at a price I can afford.
I have always been worried about purchasing used personal care items, but since this appeared to have an unused set of blades I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did. Everything was in new condition so I sanitized the used blades and have been completely happy since. This has the power and performance unmatched by my old retired Norelco and the cheap knockoff version I purchased prior to this. I was beginning to think a close shave meant 15 minutes of going over and over my face. Not any more. Done in less than 5, probably more like 2 or 3 minutes. The battery seems to go strong for at least 2 weeks between charges, but honestly, I never ran it until it shows low battery. The grooming accessory was a plus. I love the power and quality. You can hear it in the powerful motor and in the ... The appearance of the blades are the same as of the original but somehow they do not cut, in fact my old blades are still better.

8250xl vs. 7340xl vs. 7810xl
Being a long time Norelco user, they all are better shavers than they were 40 years ago. I graduated from a 7340xl to a 7810xl recently and both are excellent shavers. Now I have the 8250xl, also excellent. The difference I have found, the 8250xl shaves so close you can get burn easilly. It may take a minute longer with the dual blade shavers, but for the money, I prefer the 7340xl or 7810xl and save face and some dollars. The 8250xl is a good, extremely close shaver and quick. works very well for a close shave, the best razor ever!
I used a Philips Norelco electric razor for the last 37 years,& it still works good, only had to hone the blades a few times. If this one lasts as long as my first one, I will be very happy. The 8250xl does a lot better job than my old razor, so now the old one is at the Cottage. Real smooth shave!

Philips Norelco 8250XL is an excellent electric shaver.
When I first turned the razor on after the initial charge, it was so quiet I thought the battery was not charged. But it was charged and it worked great. It gives a very comfortable shave, and I have a very heavy beard. I was also impressed with how quickly I was able to shave. I bought this to replace my older Norelco, and that unit took about 8 minutes for a shave. This new one takes me less than 3 minutes.
