However, for the reader who wants to admire the jewels, it can be argued that this edited version has a place.How could anyone dare to edit what is considered to be one of the best books ever written?We of the 21st Century have a shorter attention span. We are used to reading a lot online that is reduced to bullet points. Far better to read some Jane Eyre than none of it.
