  • Fantastic bang for buck, SQ w/ decent power, lowkey 7.1.4, Denon customizable

My first Denon was going to be a 3805 but it did not arrive to me in working order so this 3311ci has taken the spot and I am impressed so far with the SQ and detail of options to customize the receivers' capabilities. I'm hooked on Denon now and will be purchasing a few more 2nd hand Denon's in the future. Besides the basics you can read right off the brochure, other features I found interesting immediately; one can turn off unused I/Os and speaker channels, can set custom "Quick Select" Input/Output configurations with specified source and output with custom audio/speaker configurations but I've barely scratched the surface with this thing though. Certainly a step up from my Pioneer VSX 822 in regard to the menu system, customizations of A/V setup, available channels and power output. ...

  • Hi fidelity. clear sound from the lowest volume up to very high, until the speakers cause too much vibration in the house :)

All the accessories came with the receiver. The most important is the remote. The sound is excellent. Only an antennae, phone & CD are connected with two speakers. FM radio is outstanding. The software may need to be upgraded. If so, we will carry it to the router, connect via an ethernet wire & see what's next. It does not get as hot as our previous one. The two speakers that have a 12" woofer, 2 5" mid-range, 3" tweeter and a horn tweeter, can handle it's power. We are not using it for our home theater since we have 5.1 already and 7.2 would not be much better.

  • Denon's products seem to offer the best of bells and whistles for mid-upper

Denon has always offered a great line on stereo components since I can remember as a kid, my father always purchasing Denon, along with nakamichi and other brands. I had been scoping out Denon's and other brands for a while. I finally decided on this unit due to it's features and price point. I highly recommend the Denon website for comparing different XX10CI models. So far, I have been happy with my purchase. It has a whole host of features including up-converting all inputs to HDMI, HD Radio, Sirius capable, 5 HDMI inputs, 3 audio zones, and completely re-assignable digital/analog inputs. The ability to reassign different audio and video inputs on the fly has turned out to be quite useful, something I did not anticipate. Overall sound quality has been superb so far. One downside is ...

  • Excellent audio and blu ray video, need work on upscale

I bought this receiver a month ago and it my first Denon AV receiver and first with hdmi connetions,DTS HD,dolby digital HD,hdmi pass through in standby mode and network connection. The audio and blu ray video is excellent, however the video upcale look very good from 6 feet and above and the closer to the TV the video upscale look a little fuzzy. The factory speaker channel level was set to zero and i change all to +5.0dB about 5 times and it not saving the settings. The video switching doesn't respond as fast as my older Yahmaha or Harmon Kardon receivers and sometime there is no audio and video when i switch from BD to CAB/SAT on the remote. The receiver has excellent audio and it one of the best i ever heard.

  • Denon 2311ci impressions

The features are very complete. The sound is open, effortless, big sound stage that extends way in back of the front speakers, the sound is very clean and the instruments are clear and appear in their proper locations in space, The sound is about the best that I have heard from any receiver. Go Denon!
