A wonderful collection of 4 French vintage books, the 4 volumes of Les Misérables, by Victor Hugo.

These editions were published by Nelson, who produced a wonderful collection of beautiful fabric covered editions in the early 20th century.

These particular books, tomes I, II, III and IV of Les Misérables, have lovely gold lettering on the spine. On the front of the book, the title is printed in a classic deep sage colour, with the recognisable Nelson decoration in the same colour.

The inscription inside with the name of the owner is dated to 1928.

The condition of the books reflects their age of almost 100 years, there are several stains and marks from being well read over the past century, but the body of the books are intact.

These beautiful vintage books will look gorgeous on your bookshelf or on your coffee table for some instant French vintage or shabby chic style. You can even impress your friends with your knowledge of classic French literature!

Each book measures around 16 x 11 x 2.5 cm or 6.2 x 4.3 x 1 inches.

Delivery is with La Poste and includes tracking.
