Hubert Cremers was born June 27, 1881 in Minnesota to Joseph and Mary (Beckers) Cremers. He married Mary Anna "Maria" Stroeing on June 7, 1910 in New Munich, Minn. The couple had 1 daughter in March 1912 and they gave her the name Viola.

On December 3, 1913, just 1 year, 8 months after Viola was born, Mary Anna (Stroeing) Cremers died from tuberculosis. She is buried in St. Anthony Cemetry in St. Anthony, Stearns, Minn.

Five years after his first marriage, on June 7, 1915, Hubert married Helen Herbes and they had two sons, Alex and Eugene. Helen Cremers died February 18, 1959 and Hubert Cremers was a widower for the 2nd time in his life.

Hubert lived for 2 1/2 years after Helen died. He died in Goodhue County on August 8, 1962. He is buried next to his 2nd wife, Helen, in St. Anthony Cemetery in St. Anthony, Krain township, Stearns County, Minnesota.

Hubert Cremers

ST. ANTHONY - Hubert Cremers, 81, died Wednesday evening. (August 8, 1962)

He is survived by two sons and a daughter: Alex and Eugene of St. Anthony and Mrs. Lawrence Beuning, St. Francis. There are 16 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be at 9:30am Saturday at St. Anthony Church.

Friends may call at the Blenker Funeral Home, Albany.

The parish rosary will be prayed at 8:30pm Friday at the Blenker Funeral home.
